Add Progress Log entry for Prospect Scout two-way tool; merge Input Interface's own Task Input Interface card updates
Adds the 5-item Prospect Scout Add/Edit summary (stable ids, data-loss catch, embedded Add/Edit forms, verified round trip) to Market Intelligence's card. Input Interface concurrently wrote their own subtask/note detail to the Task Input Interface card documenting the same build from their side (st-b2977028, st-e0d047f5) -- both included, nothing overwritten.

{ date: "2026-09-01", source: "Mckinley-directed", text: "Prospect Scout is now a fully working two-way tool, not just a static research snapshot — 73 entries, contact enrichment, PE priority ranking, and live add/edit. Latest commit f1f0d23. Full build sequence: (1) Market Intelligence proactively added stable ps-<8hex> ids to all 73 entries before Input Interface's form needed them, avoiding the name-matching fragility already hit once on the Tasks build. (2) Input Interface built an Add New Prospect / Edit Existing tool on their Flask backend; Market Intelligence caught a real data-loss risk before it happened — the listed schema was missing 5 real fields (priority_rank, priority_tier, materials, ranking_rationale, correction) — confirmed the write path preserves them by construction. (3) Add form embedded directly into the Prospect Scout tab, styled to match the Tasks form; a rendering gap for the new \"added via form\" source badge was caught and fixed before shipping. (4) Edit also embedded directly into the dashboard — entry-picker → field-picker → current-value → new-value → submit, wired to the live JSON API; editing contact_email automatically clears the \"unverified pattern guess\" caveat. (5) Both Add and Edit verified end-to-end twice — once simulated, once for real (a real edit + restore round trip on SweGaN AB's notes field) — clean both times." },

Two research sweeps produced 73 companies/institutions across 6 categories (Semiconductor Materials & Substrates, Power Electronics, WBG Device Manufacturer, Device Testing, Radiation Hardness, Research & Collaborations) — 68 genuinely new beyond Peter's original 25-company list. Backed by a real local Flask app (Input Interface, localhost:8507) that persists submissions into TASKS_DATA — genuine writes, not a demo. Delete capability added too, with all 17 existing subtasks migrated to carry a stable id. Ad-hoc submissions are visually distinct from Peter's weekly Excel imports (tagged \"Input Interface (Peter)\"/\"Input Interface (Mckinley)\"). This is the first working piece of Peter's broader cloud-tool request — local only for now, cloud deployment is a later phase." },

{ date: "2026-08-26", source: "Mckinley-directed", text: "Prospect Scout Add form embedded live: Mckinley asked for both new inputs to sit directly on their own pages, like Tasks does, rather than a separate URL. Market Intelligence's dashboard has to stay a single static file (no live JSON fetch) for Nextcloud sharing, so the fix was a split -- Add needs no live data to render (pure write, same shape as the Tasks form) so it embeds cleanly; Edit needs to browse existing entries and show current values, which does require a live read, so it stays at the separate localhost:8507/prospect-scout page for now. Sent Market Intelligence plain semantic markup/JS, they restyled it to match their design system and wired it in -- live now, top of the Prospect Scout tab. New prospects added this way confirm immediately but only appear in the rendered card grid after Market Intelligence's next periodic merge -- flagged explicitly rather than left as a silent gap, they reworded the success message to say so. Directory input work paused entirely per Mckinley (\"there is a bit of clean up there i have to do first\") -- the standalone page at localhost:8507/directory still works if needed, just not being embedded or iterated on until Mckinley restarts it." },

{ date: "2026-08-26", source: "Mckinley-directed", text: "Prospect Scout Edit form embedded live: Mckinley extended the earlier request -- Edit needed to be embedded on the dashboard too, not left as the separate localhost:8507 page. This does mean using Edit now requires the backend to be reachable (a live read to populate the entry/field pickers and show current values), unlike Add which is pure write -- Market Intelligence accepted that trade-off directly since viewing the dashboard itself stays exactly as static as before. My standalone page already ran on plain JSON APIs (GET /prospect-scout/api/entries, GET /prospect-scout/api/entries/<id>, POST /prospect-scout/api/edit), so no backend changes were needed -- just handed Market Intelligence the existing endpoints and my standalone page's source as a reference flow to copy. They built it, restyled to match their design system, verified with jsdom against a stub. Verified for real on this end too: ran an actual edit through the live endpoints against a real entry (SweGaN AB's notes field), confirmed the change landed, then restored the original text -- not just trusting the stubbed test. Both Add and Edit are now genuinely embedded and working on the Prospect Scout tab." }
